Scripture Session – 02/28/21: Sins Swept, Return to Nest

Isaiah 44:22 NIV

I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.

This scripture is part of a poem or song. Its positioned as if a person has sinned and has turned away or ran from God. Because at times we avoid God due to being ashamed and think whatever we have done is beyond forgiveness. The passage is saying that God has wiped away our sins swiftly because when we confess and repent the reset button is instant. No matter how bad we believe the situation is we aren’t below God forgiving us. Which is made possible thru the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ. That’s why the verse ends with the statement “I have redeemed you”. In short, the verse is saying I had your sins wiped away and delivered you so please return back to my presence. Again, no matter how back slidden or lost we think we are we have to pick ourselves up and find our way back to God. While their may be consequences for our actions, we do know that staying away from God isn’t going to make things better.

  1. What youre saying is completely true. I know that everybody must say the same thing, but I just think that you put it in a way that everyone can understand. I also love the images you put in here. They fit so well with what youre trying to say. Im sure youll reach so many people with what youve got to say.

  2. I was just chatting with my coworker about this today at Outback steak house. Don’t remember how in the world we landed on the topic in truth, they brought it up. I do recall eating a outstanding fruit salad with cranberries on it. I digress

  3. Fantastic Info! But Im having some trouble trying to load your blog. I have read it numerous times before and in no way gotten a thing like this, but now when I try to load a thing it just takes a bit while (5-10 minutes ) after which just stops. I hope i don???¨º?¨¨t have spyware or a thing. Does anyone know what the difficulty might be?
