Romans 10:9 NIV
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Every now and then it’s good to get back to the basics and what matters the most. So, this week we’ll cover a scripture that talks about what it takes to be saved. To be saved you must confess that Jesus is who the Bible says he is which is our lord and savior. Many folks acknowledge that Jesus exists, even demons and other religions. However, where many people differ is what Jesus represents. Some consider him just a man, a prophet, and or antichrist among other things. But to be saved and go to heaven we must admit and believe Jesus is our savior, that he was sent by God, and that him defeating death saved us. We can’t simply say it, we must believe it internally as well. Nothing else we do or say matters if we don’t have the basics of being saved taken care of. We can have church of 1000s members, million Christian followers, and platinum albums. We can give millions to charities in God’s name. At the same time, if we aren’t saved on the inside we are still going to hell. Get saved or die lying.
