Scripture Session: Hands Lifted to Heaven

1 Timothy 2:8 KJV

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

How often do you have a moment throughout the day to raise your hands and say Thank you God?  Thank you God for your faithfulness.  God says that your worship and praise is a sweet savour unto his nose.  So, if you haven’t taken the time today to say thank you God, stop what you are doing. Take this time to stand in awe of your reigning savior sovereignty and say Thank you with a pure heart.  Starting your day with praise on your lips will change the outlook of your day.  You will become more grateful and filled with thanksgiving as you see God in his awesomeness and make this a daily routine.  Your actions toward God can just be a take what I want attitude, but it will become an attitude of if you don’t do anything else for me God; I thank you for just being who you are.  You will transition your thinking from earthly pleasures and wants to seeing yourself seated in heavenly places and dwelling on the things that are above.   You will set your heart and mind on heaven with a grateful heart.  Take time to put yourself in a physical stance that says by your actions I’m reaching up to you father to tell you that you have been a good good father to me and I give you all praise and honor with hands lifted to heaven.
