Scripture Session: Open Your Mouth

Matthew 20:31-34 (KJV)

31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.  32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?  33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.  34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

God knows what we have need of before we was ask it, but he wants us to open our mouths and speak it. So that we can show we trust and have faith in his position and power. Jesus knew their infirmity but wanted them to be specific with their desire and wants from God. Their actions and faith caused God to have mercy on these two blind men. Sometimes we have to persist and get loud with God to let him know that we need him to perform a work in our life. The crowd (the enemy) wants you to be silent, but God is telling you to open your mouth to receive healing, redemption, deliverance and a word from God. Open your mouth and tell God what you need so that he can move in your life don’t miss your blessing or healing because you kept your mouth closed when you should be yelling, “Have mercy on me O, Lord.” Once you open your mouth God will move powerfully in your life.
